The dramatic television series Gossip Girl let’s us know the life and gossip of Manhatan’s elite through an anonymous blogger who calls herself “Gossip Girl. “ It’s main focus is on eight actors/actress’ that play the part of teenagers trying to survive in a world of wealthy socialites, money, romance, and of course brutal Gossip Girl watching their every move . Dan and Jenny Humphrey, along with Vanessa, live foreign lives (first season) in Brooklyn apart from the others. Blaire Waldorf, Chuck Bass, Nate Archibald, and Serena and Eric Vanderwoodsen live in wealth and mischief all over the Uppereastside of New York. All of the characters attend a private school together, but then they’re off to college and can you guess who follows? Gossip Girl!

Gossip Girl is by FAR one of my favorite TV series! I have told you an extremely short synopsis of the Television series, nothing detailed about the first, second, or third seasons. I have seen both the first,second, some of the third, and hope to read the books for comparison. I recommend Gossip Girl to all that have never seen it before!

Who Wore it Best?

It’s always entertaining to glance at stars’ “Fashion Faceoff” pictures, to see who wore it best. The pictures below include stars’ who have worn the same thing before and you can decide who looks better in the outfit:

Camilla Belle and Katy Perry, who wore it best? Personally I think that Camilla Belle pulled the dress together better than Katy Perry. I like Camilla Belles’ accessory choices and the way she wore her hair. Overall I think that Camilla Belle adds a much classier look to the dress than Katy Perry.

Ali VS. Jordana. Who wore it best? I think that Ali Larter wore it better than Jordana Brewster. That particular dress Does not compliment Jordana’s figure very well.

Reese Witherspoon VS. Kelly Ripa. Who wore it best? I think that Reese Witherspoon wins this faceoff. She fills out the dress better and her choice of shoes was smart.

Alexis Bledel VS. LeAnn Rimes. Who wore it best? I think that LeAnn Rimes pulled of this look well. She used her accessories wisely, especially the belt; it accentuates her waist line!

CMA Awards

Last night, the 2009 CMA Awards debuted on television. It was a memorable and incredible night for many country music stars. Outstanding performances were made by country stars including Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley, Trace Adkins, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, The Eagles, Alan Jackson, Kid Rock, Dave Matthews, Zack Brown Band, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, George Strait, Sugarland, Keith Urban, and The Wailers. My favoritePerformer that evening was Taylor Swift. Taylor sung two songs that evening Fifteen and Forever and Always; named female vocalist of the year! I watched the entire award show and I was very pleased and agreed with the awards that were given.

New Moon!

Because New moon is probably the most highly anticipated movie of the year, fans are practically dying to see it. The first book Twilight, has already been created into a movie that came out into theaters last year. I really enjoyed the first movie of the twilight series and and hopefully Newmoon will do just as well or even better than Twilight. I am very excited for Newmoon and cannot wait to make comparisons between the two movies and book. All the same characters from Twilight will be appearing again in New Moon, along with a few new actors and actresses such as Dakota Fanning, to play the roles of vampire, werewolves, etc. My favorite scene in the New Moon book was when Bella flies with Alice to Florence, Italy to save Edward from revealing himself to the entire city. I cannot wait to see how they have decided to act that scene out in the actual movie. Hopefully the movie will have a good turnout with great reviews!

American Idol, New Judge?

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres will join American Idol as the shows new, fourth judge, after the auditions have been casted. Ellen will join the show, as a part of the judges’ pannel. Ellen is very excited to join the show along with former judges, Simon Cowel, Kara DioGuardi, and Randy Jackson. I personally think that Ellen will be an excellant addition to the American Idol group. Ellen has always been known as a comical talk show host and many people believe that she will add spunk and character to the show. I believe that Ellen will definitely give her own unique perspective on the upcoming contestants. I cannot wait for the season 9 of American Idol to begin. Hopefully Ellen will do a great job as the new edition to the show!

Hit or Miss?

Was it a hit or a miss? Sometimes stars put on something thats completely out there, and fans wonder what in the world they are wearing. Let’s see if the following stars’ out and about risky fashion pick was a hit or miss.

Hillary Swank shows off her curves in a black beaded Monique Lhuillier gown. Hit or miss? Definitely hit. I like how she brought back a little bit of an old hollywood glamour to the red carpet.

Diane Kruger attempts to add an edgy look to a classic white dress. Hit or Miss? Under my personal preferance, Diane Krugers’ risky fashion attempt was a definite miss. She pulls it off well, but the actuall look itself isn’t my favorite.

Miley Cyrus keeps it simple with a blacked out wardrobe. Hit or miss? Miss. I don’t necessarily like this look, because I think it’s little to rough looking for Miley.

Taylor Swift Concert!

Last Sunday night in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Taylor Swift performed for thousands of people, including me and my friends! Taylor had two opening act performances Gloriana and Kelli Pickler; both music groups did very well. Under my personal preference, I thought that overall, Taylor had an amazing performance; her voice sounded great, the entire concert was entertaining, and the way she interacted with the crowd was very cool! From her performance you could tell that she is generally a nice person; she gave A LOT of random fans hug and gave away an accessories, such as her headband. Throughout the show Taylor frequently changed her outfits and the stage setup in an easy yet entertaining way. I thought that Taylors’ concert was incredible, and very entertaining. Hopefully she will make her way back to Oklahoma very soon!

Are jeans getting the best of us? Generally, a pair of nice, brand-name jeans range from aroun 125-450. Do you think jeans are too pricey, or is it worth is in the end? It is true that buying an expensive pair of jeans can have a better outcome because they last a fairly long time and of course they’re stylish. Generally I prefer to buy a couple pairs of nice jeanse because I can usually keep them for the next year, along with a few new pairs. Which do you prefer?

Personally, I admire the current “look.” I suppose I like the way they mixed in the colors teal and black to three classy dresses; black over teal makes the dress look bold. These dresses will definitely catch and eye or two!
